The people of Colorado want to enact "protection" of pregnant mothers and their unborn children. They wish to do this by making unborn children categorized as an actual "person". The Colorado wrongful death act must include unborn children as human beings. If someone was to kill a pregnant woman, the offender should be accountable for double murder.
Discussion questions:
-What happens if a mother tries to kill herself and by doing so she kills her baby ?
-In this case would a woman be charged for murder if she was to abort her baby ?
-How will this affect abortion laws, and abortion in general ?
1. She would be convicted of murder in Colorado because it states that an unborn child would be considered a person so if she intended to kill herself and she killed the baby that would be murder and she would be charged. If she didn't mean to kill the baby then she would have never tried to kill herself.
ReplyDelete2. She would be charged with murder because she killed an unborn child which was stated in colorado that unborn children were considered as human beings therefore she killed life.
3. This will affect abortion laws by for example if a women was to be raped and she got pregnant she wouldn't be able to kill the baby because of this law. In all she would go to jail. In the state of colorado women won't be able to have abortion because if they did they would be committing murder.
